LoudnessGracious Support FAQ

What if I already have clip gain on my clips?

Clip gain information doesn’t get passed on to plugins in Clip by Clip mode. Therefore we recommend these are cleared if you’re using Clip by Clip mode. Otherwise your results will not be correct.

You have two options:
1- Clear all clip gain information, and use either Clip by Clip or Entire Selection modes with LoudnessGracious.
2- Use the Entire Selection option on each clip separately, or as a whole.

Why are the results not exactly matching my favourite meter’s results?

Small variations in results by various software or hardware loudness meters should be expected. Not every meter will use the exact method.
Also, most metering plugins don’t have handles enabled. LoudnessGracious allows handles as we think this is crucial in a destructive workflow. Depending on the handle amount and what kind of signals are hiding in them, very small variation in levels might be observed.

Is this AI?

No AI is involved but plenty of Actual Intelligence is!

Are multi-channel clips supported?

LoudnessGracious only supports mono or stereo clips (use with multi-input mode).
Immersive formats are not supported.

Minimum clip duration doesn’t seem to work?

Minimum clip duration will take handle amount into account as well.
So if you have a clip that is 1 second long with 2 second handles, the entire length of that clip will be 5 seconds (2+1+2).
